Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol Per Se

With a legal limit of .08 BAC in Maryland, the law seems to be against you from the start.  When you are stopped for a traffic offense and the police officer smells alcohol on your person, your life will never be the same.  You are now likely to face traffic citations carrying possible jail time and license suspension.  Time is of the essence when charged with an alcohol related offense like Driving Under the Influence or Driving While Impaired.  You must determine if you are challenging the license suspension and request a hearing, you might need to get into an alcohol treatment or education class and you certainly should hire an attorney.

Driving Without Insurance

Another likely oversight, you forgot to send in your insurance premium on time and your insurance lapsed.  Or the MVA requested proof of insurance and you never got the notice.  Just because you have a reasonable excuse doesn't mean that you should go to Court without legal representation.  A serious offense such as this comes with the threat of jail time, points, fines and possible license suspension.  Let an experienced attorney be your advocate and present your defense for you.

Driving on a Suspended or Revoked License

This charge can often be due to an oversight on your part.  Likely you forgot about a ticket you received and didn't pay it on time.  However, this is a serious offense, requiring a mandatory appearance in Court.  A skilled serious traffic attorney will be able to present your case to the Assistant State's Attorney and hopefully get a favorable result.  This offense comes with a possible jail sentence and points.  Don't go to Court alone.
